Country singer Carly Pearce recently revealed on Instagram that she is struggling with a “very frustrating vocal strain.”
Pearce, 35, “would appreciate all the prayers and good vibes” in dealing with this struggle impacting her singing ability, she said in the post, according to an account on PennLive.com.
While frustrating, the issue does not compare to Pearce’s pericarditis.
Pericarditis is the swelling and irritation of the thin, saclike tissue surrounding the heart, as detailed by the Mayo Clinic. This condition can cause sharp chest pain.
As reported by PennLive.com, although Pearce announced she had the condition this year, she has been living with it for the last five.
Pearce isn’t the only member of her family to deal with heart struggles; her father survived a widowmaker heart attack when she was only 19, PennLive.com reported.
