CENTRAL ISLIP, L.I. -- A chilly Saturday night on Long Island set the stage for the 11th meeting of the season between the Staten Island FerryHawks and the Long Island Ducks. Staten Island, after soundly defeating Long Island 9-1 on Friday night, looked to remain undefeated at Fairfield Properties Ballpark heading into game two of the set. Following a close 4-3 win in extra innings, the FerryHawks not only remain undefeated when visiting Long Island (5-0), but they are also undefeated in extra inning contests as well (3-0).

On the mound for the FerryHawks was southpaw Shane Barringer. Barringer began his first start as a FerryHawk by throwing three scoreless innings. Despite giving up three runs, two of which were earned, he put together a quality start. In six innings pitched, he struck out five and allowed four hits.
