STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Firefighters battled a blaze at a home in New Brighton on Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported at 6:25 a.m. at 536 Richmond Terrace near York Avenue, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY/EMS.
About 60 firefighters and 12 units responded to the “all-hands” blaze, which was brought under control in less than a half hour, at 6:50 a.m., the FDNY spokesperson said.
No injuries were reported in the fire, the FDNY spokesperson said.
The fire marshals will determine the cause and origin of the blaze.
A ladder was extended toward the top of the large, three-story home.
