Country superstar Miranda Lambert, 41, and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, 33, reportedly faced marital troubles following his behavior at a Nashville bar, but according to a source who spoke exclusively with “In Touch,” things are now looking up.
As a matter of fact, Brendan’s behavior was later confirmed as “not flirty” by the “In Touch” insider.
“Brendan insists he never cheated, and they downplayed it all publicly, but there’s no denying he was caught looking flirty with other women,” the insider revealed to the outlet about the former NYPD officer who is from Staten Island. “That was a big trigger for Miranda, it shattered the trust.”
The source claims Brendan, 33, has been working to “fix things” and has begun regaining Lambert’s trust through “full transparency.”
“He agreed to sharing phone and social media access, not deleting messages and even telling her anytime he talks to another woman if she’s not around,” added the “In Touch” insider. “It’s not about control for Miranda, she just doesn’t want any surprises and she wants to be able to put her mind at ease if she gets any sort of funny feeling.”
Apparently, Brendan is completely on board with this arrangement. “Brendan is fine” with the boundaries in place and is ready to do “whatever it takes to make her feel comfortable and safe.”
The source went on to say that both are doing “whatever it takes” to keep their relationship strong, and that Miranda is more committed than ever.
The couple reportedly hit the controversial rough patch when a TikTok video surfaced last year, allegedly depicting the former NYPD police officer, who was named on a 2024 “25 Most Beautiful People” list, dancing with a mystery woman at Miranda’s Nashville bar, Casa Rosa.
A TikTok video that surfaced at the time showed him with an unidentified brunette, as well as engaging in what appeared to be a close conversation with a blonde woman, who touched his face during their interaction. The footage fueled rumors of infidelity.
The blonde woman, who chose to remain anonymous, told “In Touch” the same month that the interaction was completely innocent.
“Earlier in the night, we noticed him in the roped-off section at the front of the bar. We recognized him, and we all thought it was cool that he was there, and mentioned hoping for a Miranda appearance,” she recalled. “We went back to enjoying our night, drinking and dancing with each other and just having a good time.”
She continued, “Somehow, later, we were let into the roped-off section where he was. I’m not sure how that was initiated or happened. We were all dancing together and laughing and talking, thanking him for helping to make our bride-to-be’s night so special and fun.
“He was gracious and polite and kind. He did a lot of laughing at us, because we are a silly bunch and were having a good time just dancing and being goofy together.”
Although the moment sparked online speculation, she emphasized that nothing inappropriate occurred.
“There was never anything inappropriate said” and “there was no vibe whatsoever of anything other than friendly, innocent dancing and talking.” The insider also insisted that Brendan was “not flirty.”
Miranda and Brendan celebrated six years of marriage on Jan. 26, to the delight of legions of fans who wish the couple well.
The “House That Built Me” star marked the anniversary on her Instagram with the caption, “I’ll love you forever,” alongside a black-and-white photo of their 2019 wedding.
