STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In a shocking display of violence at a facility regarded as a safe haven for families, a 23-year-old man was punched, kicked and stabbed inside the South Shore YMCA in Eltingville, authorities allege.

The harrowing attack on Wednesday night inside the facility at 3939 Richmond Ave. led to the arrests of Michael Frazer, 21, of Amboy Road in Huguenot, Vincent Celentano, 20, of Yetman Avenue in Tottenville, and a 17-year-old boy.
