The New York Lottery announced that two prize winning tickets were sold for Saturday’s Take 5 evening drawing.

Two tickets, valued at $16,639, were sold in The Bronx and Kirkwood. Kirkwood is located eight miles outside of Binghamton.

The first ticket was purchased at Halal Deli Mart, located at 1475 West Ave. in the Bronx.

The second ticket was sold at Schneider’s Market located at 869 US RT 11 in Kirkwood, New York.

The winning midday drawing numbers were 9, 11, 12, 16 and 28.

The drawing is broadcast on television twice daily at 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. Take 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.

The odds of winning the Take 5 jackpot? One in 575,757.

The New York Lottery continues to be touted as North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.8 billion in Lottery Aid to Education for fiscal year 2023-2024 to help support education in New York state.

New York Lottery revenue is distributed to local school districts by the same statutory formula used to distribute other state aid to education. It takes into account both a school district’s size and its income level; larger, lower-income school districts receive proportionately larger shares of lottery school funding.

New Yorkers struggling with a gambling addiction, or who know someone who is, can find help by calling the state’s toll-free, confidential HOPEline at 1-877-8-HOPENY (1-877-846-7369) or by texting HOPENY (467369).
