STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The bodies of two men in their 30s were pulled from New York City waters on Friday, according to the NYPD.

These recoveries come amid a desperate search for Brandon Pino, 17, a resident of Port Richmond. Pino’s family says he jumped off the Staten Island Ferry last Saturday morning.

The first of the recovered bodies was found by the NYPD’s Harbor Unit around 6 a.m. in the vicinity of South Street and Fulton Street in Manhattan, a spokesperson for the NYPD said. The Harbor Unit removed the adult man from the water and EMS pronounced him dead on scene.

The other body was found just before 7 p.m. in the East River following a 911 call for a water rescue in the vicinity of E 34th Street and FDR Drive. The NYPD’s Harbor Unit, ESU and the FDNY responded to the scene and recovered the second deceased man.

Pino’s older sister, Cathleen Pino, 27, is asking for anyone near or around the harbor to keep an eye out for her younger brother, who reportedly made a distressing social media post before taking the ferry on Saturday morning.

It was during the vessel’s trip between the St. George Ferry Terminal and Whitehall Station that Brandon jumped over the boat’s railings around 9:45 a.m., his sister said.

According to the elder Pino, afterward Brandon was seen treading the water.

Brandon was last seen wearing a tan hoodie, black sweatpants and white shoes, his family told the Advance/SILive.com.

The Pino family established a fundraiser at gofundme.com/f/bring-brandon-home-a-mothers-plea to help finance the search.

“We are searching nonstop day and night, every day until we find him,” Pino vowed.

According to a report by The Daily News, police are also searching for a 15-year-old girl who disappeared on May 30. She is thought to have drowned after falling into the waters under the Roosevelt Island Bridge, the report said.
