STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Four teen boys were arrested after allegedly robbing two teens at gunpoint outside the Staten Island Mall in New Springville Saturday, officials said.
The incident unfolded at 6:05 p.m., when the four teens approached their victims, ages 16 and 15, with a firearm outside of 283 Platinum Ave., a spokesperson for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information said.
Lidl supermarket is at the listed address, which is connected to the Mall.
The four individuals took a mask and sweatshirt from the two boys by force, police said.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information, two teens, ages 13 and 15, have been arrested and charged with two counts of second degree robbery, second degree obstruction of governmental administration, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon and fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Two additional teens ages, 15 and 17, were also arrested in connection to the incident and charged with second degree robbery, obstruction of governmental administration; and fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
