A breading and batter mix sold in New York is being recalled after a child reportedly experienced an allergic reaction, according to a notice issued Thursday by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The company, Homegrown Family Foods, announced the recall for its Shore Lunch Oven Style Breading and Batter Mix over concerns of undeclared milk, the FDA stated.
Consumers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk face the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions, the FDA cautioned. The product was primarily distributed in retail stores in New York and elsewhere from April 29, 2024, to May 1, 2025.
