Singer Jessie J revealed on social media Wednesday she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April.
The 37-year-old singer, who penned hits such as “Bang Bang,” featuring Ariana Grande, posted a message on Instagram sharing the diagnosis.
“No more Secrets and is it too soon to do a remix called ‘Living my breast life’? All jokes aside. You know it’s one of the ways I get through hard times,” the mom of one posted. “This last two months have been so amazing, and having this go on along side it on the sideline’s has given me the most incredible perspective. But… Your girl needs a hug. Also not getting massive tits. Or am I? No no… I must stop joking.”
In her video, J said she will undergo surgery after her performance at the London music festival Capital’s Summertime Ball next weekend.
“I do not talk about it enough,” she continued. “I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard.”
