In her retirement, Fazio earned a master’s degree in psychology. She will be remembered for her quick wit, charm, beautiful smile, love of the arts, and brilliance. Nora Catherine Hartley (nee Gallagher) of Old Bridge, New Jersey, died on June 5. Born on Sept. 20, 1937, in Brooklyn, Hartley worked at Downstate Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, retiring after more than 25 years. She served as a Catechism teacher at St. Joseph-St. Thomas in Pleasant Plains and volunteered at the Mount Loretto food pantry.
