Three City Council candidates join Staten Island restaurant group for debate

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A trio of challengers to the North Shore City Council seat joined a Staten Island restaurant organization in West Brighton Tuesday night for a debate on the issues.

Sarah Blas, Abou Diakhate, and Telee Brown joined the Staten Island Restaurant and Tavern Association at LiGreci’s Staaten, but without the elected official they’re hoping to replace, Democratic Councilmember Kamillah Hanks.
