The City has partnered with a group of UNL Landscape Architecture students to study Fairmount Park. Students will inventory and analyze the entire park holistically, and cultivate design ideas for other areas of the park. With the successful implementation of the Water Playground, and 24 restored acres of Woodlands, there has been much activity going on in Fairmount compared to recent years. The city continues to look at new ways to improve the park and restore it to being a premier destination for families to enjoy.
This study will run the course of the 15 week Spring Semester, and it is important for the students to present their findings and hear from the community. Learn more about this important initiative by attending the first meeting held on March 2nd at 6:30pm, at the Harvester Building (1000 S. Main Street). All are welcome to attend!
