Omaha Gives

The Fairmount Park Neighborhood Association is excited to be part of the Omaha Gives! and Pottawattamie Gives! campaigns for 2016.

This is your chance to support our neighborhood as a local nonprofit. Every donation we receive means we are eligible for bonus dollars from Pottawattamie Gives! as well as bonus drawings and matching funds. The minimum donation is $10. Donations are made online and can be scheduled now, in anticipation of the May 25, 2016 fundraising event.
Donating more than $10? Consider making more than several $10 donations.

C.B. Parks Dept – University of Nebraska At Lincoln & Fairmount Park

All,
The Council Bluffs Parks Dept. has asked landscape architectural students from UNL to study the proposed renovations to Fairmount Park and to present their findings to the public.

Their second presentation will occur on May 4th from 6-8 p.m. in the Harvester Lofts Building and will incorporate the comments they received from the public after their first presentation.

These students value our input and it is important that we attend to show that we’re interested in what happens to our beautiful and historic park. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.

Fairmount Park Meeting April 9th – 4:00 p.m. 322 Glen

All: Representatives from the Council Bluffs Police Department will visit us at our upcoming FPNA meeting on April 9th to talk about the proposed new Police Department facility. They will talk about the three possible locations for the new facility. This promises to be interesting and worthwhile. The meeting will start promptly at 4 o’clock.

Live Well Council Bluffs is sponsoring their annual shoe drive. They need wearable pairs of shoes, tied together with their shoe strings or bound together with rubber bands. The wearable shoes will be donated to people in 26 developing countries. Even shoes in poor condition will be broken down and used to make other products. Please bring your donated pairs of shoes to this meeting. If you don’t plan to attend the meeting but have shoes to donate, you may place them on the front porch at 322 Glen prior to the meeting. Otherwise, you can drop your donations at City Hall, Suite 106; Recycling Center; Habitat for Humanity; or YMCA.
